Dubbed RSS plant, Modi man, new Hyderabad Urdu varsity chancellor asks VC to celebrate Sept 29 as Surgical Strike Day
In a surprise move, Firoz Bakht Ahmed, newly-appointed chancellor of the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), a central university based in Hyderabad, has asked it's vice chancellor to celebrate September 29, the Surgical Strike Day, as a day of bravery "in order to accord the highest acclaim to those soldiers who carried it out for the safety and security of our borders" in 2016.
Ahmed, who claimed in a letter to the President of India that he is being branded as an RSS plant and a Modi man, and is not being allowed to function by MANUU vice chancellor Dr Aslam Parvaiz, has asked the latter to "organize various activities, including the parade of the three wings of the forces, and a skit on India army besides organizing a talk-session involving ex-serviceman to sensitize students about sacrifices made by the armed forces."

"Students must be told how Army carried out the surgical strikes on seven terror launch pads across the LoC", Ahmed has communicated to the vice chancellor, adding, "Other events should include a painting competition, making cards highlighting the surgical strike on September 29, 2016 at the terrorists’ habitats around the Indo-Pak border, besides penning unnamed letters to the soldiers that will be sent to the army men."
